ALBANIA

Despite its natural splendor, Albania faces many spiritual challenges. Our team is dedicated to bringing hope and transformation to the Albanian people by equipping local churches, sharing the Gospel through preaching and discipleship, and providing specialized ministry to individuals and families, including those with visual impairments. Join us as we journey alongside the Albanian Church, bringing the light of Christ to this beautiful and resilient nation.
Agree to Disagree?
When an Albanian is agreeing with you, they will shake their head, and when they are disagreeing with you, they will nod. Only slightly confusing.
Wild Buses
Albanian buses (called furgons) do as they please without a schedule, they depart when they are ready or full.
Land of The Eagle
Albanians call their country "Shqipëri", which means "Land of Eagles". The eagle holds great significance for Albanian people and is held as their national and ethnic symbol.
Guardian Plush?
In some rural areas, Albanians will hang stuffed animals at the front of their house to fend off thieves and "evil spirits".
