Missionaries in Colombia

Testimony

Anderson: I had the privilege of meeting Jesus when I was 12 years old when I was a teenager. The sum of several small things led me to think about the need for a Savior: A small fight with one of my brothers made me know that I was a sinner, a nightmare while I was sleeping, a nightmare in which Christ was coming for his church and I was left! The constant question of what if I die, where do I go? And also, during those days, my parents believed the gospel. I must admit that I do not have a specific day in which I clearly made my profession of faith, but I do remember that many times I confessed that Jesus is the Lord, begging Him to save me, and so He did.

Hannah: Like my husband, I had the privilege of meeting Jesus in my teens. I was 14 years old when I really decided to accept Jesus into my heart. My mom started attending the church I now belong to. There I met a sister that God used to confront my life with the gospel. Although I was born in a home where they always spoke to me about Jesus, I had not understood until that moment what He had done for me. Some time after attending, I had the desire to be baptized and learn how the Lord wanted me to serve Him through the gift He has given me. It has been almost 10 years since then and I am still grateful to God for being patient with me and finding me to stay with me always.

Ministry

Our service is focused on manifesting Jesus in a personal way to others – that when they see our lives and our marriage, they literally see Jesus. We do this in different ways: Service in the local church, preaching in churches that invite us, leading small groups, serving in the kitchen at camps or church events, discipling people individually, ministering to youth, serving in music, inviting others to our home to eat, actively giving to others financially, or supporting the Mobile Bible institute (MBI) in Colombia.

Favorite Scripture

Anderson:

“For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.” ~ Colossians 2:9-10

Hannah:

“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” ~ Ephesians 2:13

About Us

What are some of your Hobbies?

Anderson: I love spending time with my wife – watching a movie, playing video games, or eating! I enjoy riding my bicycle. I enjoy going out to the main avenue and pedaling for 2 hours! I really like competing with others and with my personal best times. In addition, I also like to play soccer with my friends from church.

Hannah: I really enjoy cooking, and I love being able to surprise my husband with different flavors, textures, and colors. This love of cooking also makes me really enjoy having guests in our home and serving them different recipes. On the other hand, I am very passionate about sewing and making clothes. Although I am still a beginner, I am excited to watch courses and learn new techniques and trends. I like sports, and I really enjoy going out riding bicycles with my husband or going to the gym.

What is an adventure you would like to go on?

We would like to visit a place where Christianity is not common, a place not reached by the gospel, perhaps a country in Asia.

Who from the Bible would you like to meet in Heaven?

Anderson: I must admit that my heart pounds just thinking that I will be able to talk to Jesus. This is because I am so amazed by the fact that He is God in a body. The sublime and invisible Great I Am, the everlasting God in a body. The truth is I would like to know more details of what life on earth meant to Him. Common details like His favorite foods, what clothes He liked to wear, what made Him laugh or also clarify with Him some curious facts like why He healed someone with saliva or mud. I really would not have enough time to ask!

Hannah: The truth is I would love to be able to sit down and talk with the Lord Jesus, listen to His opinions and thoughts about current and everyday issues, learn in a more direct way what He would do in the different situations of my day to day and I would love to be able to know in a closer way His way of living on earth, what His daily routine would be and how He would live in the current era.
