Testimony

Andrés: During a particularly hard situation in the life of my mother, someone came up to me and handed me a gospel tract. That is where I was impacted by the explanation of the gospel of God’s grace. I came to know Christ on January 25, 1981, and He marked my life with a clear before and after. I am so thankful to know the Lord and serve Him.

Monica: I came to know Christ at the age of 16. It was during a difficult time both personally and in my family. I was dealing with depression and suicidal thoughts. A Christian friend of mine visited me, and she gave me a New Testament. I stayed up all night reading it, and the next day I went to visit her and ask her to explain the things that I didn’t understand. She shared the gospel with me that evening. In the midst of many tears, I repented of my sins and received Christ into my heart.

Ministry

Andrés: My ministry is involved in discipleship, counseling, evangelism, as well as training leaders to plant churches. My passion is to work for the health and wellness of the body of Christ.

Monica: My ministry to women involves various elements, principally counseling, discipleship, evangelism, and also many opportunities to teach God’s Word in women’s groups.

Favorite Scripture

Andrés:

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.” ~ John 15:16

Monica:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” ~ Jeremiah 29:11

About Us

What are some of your Hobbies?

Andrés: I like to go for walks. My wife and I like to find beautiful place for praying and the enjoyment of God’s creation. I love to visit my grandchildren and friends. I enjoy watching soccer and basketball games.

Monica: Some of my favorite things include taking care of plants in my yard and going for walks. But, above all, spending time with my granddaughters and going out with my daughters for good conversations.

What is an adventure you would like to go on?

Andrés: I would like to visit Israel and see the Grand Canyon.

Monica: I would like to visit Israel. And I would like to visit a dear friend who lives in Italy.

Who from the Bible would you like to meet in Heaven?

Andrés: There are 2. I would like to meet Joseph and ask him many questions because despite facing many difficult situations from a very young age, he remained faithful, obedient, and constant. He did not change his testimony for anything so that he might not sin against GOD.  And second, Esther. She lived through circumstances where it appeared that God was not there. He is not even named, but His Sovereignty shines in a beautiful way. He is always there, always teaching us what He says in Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted a month the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

Monica: Ruth, because she trusted in God and was willing to leave everything in order to go to a place unknown to her. She obeyed God’s guidance in her life and found refuge “under the wings of the Almighty.”
