Kristian Perdomo
Missionary in Honduras
Testimony
I was born into a Christian home, hearing about the Lord and being taught Bible stories from a young age. I don’t remember the exact moment when I became a Christian, since I was so young, but I remember being around ministry my whole life. When I moved out of my house to study in college, I had to decide for myself if I wanted to continue serving and going to church, now that I was on my own. That’s when I felt a clear calling from the Lord, not only to continue going to church, but to serve him full-time. Since then, I have not looked back, as I am grateful for the opportunity to work to further His Kingdom.
Ministry
I work on furthering the Kingdom by doing discipleship, evangelism and multiplication, through ministry work that has to do with some of my greatest passions: arts, new generations and leadership development. The Lord has allowed me to direct a drama ministry at my local church for the past 6 years, so I work with teams of writers, directors and actors to present skits for believers, as well as evangelistic plays for non-believers. I support churches and other Christian organizations in their efforts to use art as a tool for worship, outreach and growth, I support youth ministries and lead a small group of teenagers, and I provide tools for Christian leaders through a podcast and educational experiences and events.
Favorite Scripture
“If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. ” ~ John 15:19
About Me
What are some of your Hobbies?
I love to spend time watching movies, especially a good mystery I can try to figure out before the movie ends. I really enjoy music, so I like to spend time singing, as well as playing guitar or piano. I also enjoy reading fiction, especially classics, mystery, science fiction, and comic books. Lastly, I love to spend time with friends and family playing board games, as I feel it is a great way to get to know one another better and have fun.
What is an adventure you would like to go on?
As a theatre and music fan, I’ve always dreamed of going to see a big production on Broadway or West End. I’ve also always loved looking at pictures and videos of little towns with breathtaking views of mountains and waterfalls in places such as Switzerland. I hope that someday, I can get to go.
Who from the Bible would you like to meet in Heaven?
There are many, but I would enjoy sitting down with David. He, like me, was passionate about art, the Lord, and being a leader. I would love to ask him about his greatest challenges in leading, and to sit down and write poems or compose songs together.
