Missionaries in Colombia

Testimony

Laura: I grew up in a Christian family. My father is a pastor. That made me somehow consider myself worthy of God’s forgiveness and his love. Little by little He spoke to my heart through His Word and showed me how immersed my soul was in evil and how much I needed Him. He transformed my heart and called me not only to love Him but also to proclaim His Name to the nations.

Simón: I also grew up in a Christian home where the Bible was read and God was worshiped every day. However, that did not keep me from the sinfulness of my sin, so at age 15, after making very bad decisions in my life, I was able to understand that I had been a religious boy, but that I had not been born again. God had not transformed my heart. It was there that I asked for his forgiveness and begged him to save me, that I was nobody, that I simply needed Christ or I was going to die.

Ministry

Our ministry mainly focuses on 3 areas: a) reaching, training and shepherding the hearts of children and young people. b) Teach and train pastors and leaders through Global Mobile Bible Institutes and c) Do work alongside churches to seek the revitalization of local churches. To accomplish all this, we work with a group of 60-70 children weekly in two locations, and we have a team of World Outreach missionaries with whom we work shoulder to shoulder to carry out the Bible Institutes.

Favorite Scripture

Laura:

“When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.” ~ Colossians 3:4

Simón:

You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.~ Psalms 16:11

About Us

What are some of your Hobbies?

Laura: I really like reading and spending time talking with people to get to know them better.

Simón: I like almost all sports, I play soccer, table tennis and I also like strategy games like chess and Risk.

What is an adventure you would like to go on?

Laura: I would like to go to a vulnerable place where I can serve and work with children like in Kenya, Africa.

Simón: I would like to visit Israel. When I think about how the world has revolved around that place I am excited to learn more about the history there.

Who from the Bible would you like to meet in Heaven?

Laura: Moses. Just like me he was called to a mission with which he was not qualified. His fears and weakness were visible, but he managed to know God as a close friend.

Simón: I would like to be able to talk to Abraham, and have him tell me about his faith, how he believed in God, and how he was able to overcome different trials by holding on to the God in whom he trusted.
